People Are Talking!

The reviews are in on one of this holiday season’s brightest new CDs,
Sha Na Na Rockin' Christmas on The Gold Label.

“Doo-wop aficionados will love this Greaser in Toyland collection which features rock Xmas classics such as "Run, Run Rudolph," "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town" and "Blue Christmas."…glide on the power of their harmonies, as with the smooth ballad "You're All I Want for Christmas." NEW YORK POST

“Tired of the traditional seasonal songs? Give Sha Na Na's first-ever Christmas album a spin. The disc, on Pat Boone's Gold Label, offers a mix of original and classic tunes done '50s-style. Standout cuts include the perky ``Christmas Bells,'' the bopping ``I Want to Rock 'n' Roll for Christmas'' and the romantic ``You're All I Want for Christmas.'' Sha Na Na's own ``Santa's on a Diet'' has been released as a single and has timely humor: ``Stop leavin' out those cookies when Santa's on his route, he only snacks on cottage cheese and vegetables and fruit.'' Even Hanukkah gets a nod with ``The Rockin' Dreidel Song.'' Instead of decking the halls, you'll be rolling up the rugs to make room for your very own sock hop.”
THE SAN GABRIEL VALLEY PAPERS

“…what makes this 14-song album worth hearing is its mostly spirited performances and and such fetching numbers as Jocko Marcellino’s doo-wop homage, “Christmas Bells” and his Eddie Cochran-styled romp, “Santa’s On A Diet”
THE SAN DIEGO TRIBUNE

“A Sha Na Na Christmas album? The nostalgia-loving gang -- of Grease fame -- pulls it off with lots of humor and doo-wop-inspired vocals. And a rocking version of a Hanukkah favorite, The Dreidel Song.”
THE PALM BEACH POST
